Sign up to the Partnership Principles
The partnership principles aim to reduce the environmental and economic impact invasive species have on the island of Ireland. The Invasive Species in Ireland Programme will support Forum members who sign up to these principles with advice on your activities and invasive species and programme materials.
- Never deliberately introduce an organism that may cause harm to the environment or economy of the region.
- Review your activities and adopt practices that reduce the risk of introducing or spreading invasive species.
- Maintain involvement with the Invasive Species in Ireland Forum.
- Share progress and communicate knowledge gained in invasive species control or prevention whenever possible.
- Adopt relevant Codes of Practice and contribute to the implementation of management plans where possible.
- Contribute to raising awareness on invasive species.
- Report any sightings of the Most Unwanted.
